We’re looking for a Director of Communications to oversee our internal and external comms that promote growth, manage and enhance brand reputation, and deepen employee engagement. Over the next few years, you will build and develop external comms from the ground up including global PR and AR, and work with our people team to manage internal comms functions. You will report to our Global VP of Marketing and work closely with our CHRO and CEO, Senior Leadership, Business Leaders, and Product Marketing teams to build and execute the comms strategy.

As the Director of Communications, you’ll get to:

  • Establish a stronger industry presence for Branch by owning all press and analyst relations comms.
  • Build a process for external comms and ensure that we have consistency in our comms on all channels - press, website, social, etc.
  • Build processes for consistency on internal comms and work with the people team on a cadence/process/strategy.
  • Start relations with analysts and create a strategy around analyst relations.
  • Deal with any potential PR crisis and have a crisis plan.
  • Engage with senior leadership and product marketing to develop key messaging, themes/topics, style/tone, target audiences, and appropriate communications channels.
  • Help local teams build regional awareness through local PR agencies, etc.
  • Establish an awareness measurement system globally and track and improve those metrics.
  • Support comms at employee kick-off and mid-year meetings.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-house experience at a growth/start-up company.
  • Both internal and external corporate communications experience.
  • Experience collaborating with HR/people teams, marketing, and senior executives.
  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and working with key reporters and analysts.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills and a proactive communication style.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment while maintaining a calm demeanor, effectively navigating fast-paced situations.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role: the estimated pay range for this role, if based in Palo Alto, CA is $206,300 to $263,000. Compensation will be based on experience and level.

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Palo Alto, CA only. Compensation for candidates outside of Palo Alto, CA will be based on the candidate’s specific work location.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above.
