About the Team
The Engineering team at Clari is an Agile shop that practices Scrum across all our teams. We layer in coordination practices such as Big Room Planning to stay aligned with Clari’s KPIs quarterly across sites and teams. About the Role
The Experience Foundations team at Clari is looking for a Staff Software Frontend Engineer to help us build the next generation of our Revenue Platform user experience. We are consolidating the UI across all of Clari’s products based on our evolving, unified design system. You will be instrumental in crafting standard components and cohesive user experiences and supporting other teams in leveraging the design system in all of Clari’s applications consistently. As part of this effort, you will participate in efforts to consolidate and standardize various frontend engineering practices, from code style & code quality tooling to continuous delivery.
We’re a collaborative team of product managers, designers, backend, frontend, and quality automation engineers who genuinely enjoy working together. We are looking for a new team member who is passionate about building great products with simplicity, usability, scalability, and reliability in mind.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Kraków, Poland. Candidates must be based in Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a consistent, delightful and seamless user experience
  • Evolve a shared React Frontend component library & design system
  • Take a leadership role in defining engineering best practices and build tooling for consistent state management, routing, component composition, code style & quality, as well as for CI/CD
  • Produce high-quality results by leading or providing major contributions to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business
  • Collaborate with Backend engineers to build automation for defining robust interfaces and strongly-typed schemas that are easy to build against and meet the requirements of client-facing teams
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack, and uplevel the observability and reliability of the overall system
  • Upholding exceptional engineering standards, processes, and best practices
  • Proactively mentor and guide peers in leveling up their engineering skills and practices, fostering professional growth

Qualifications

  • Solid technical background, including 7+ years of experience building large-scale, fast-loading React-based web applications with TypeScript and 10+ years of experience building web-based solutions
  • Deeply familiar with build configuration management for building large web applications, including the details of TypeScript compiler configuration, including Storybook support and maintenance, and their integration with CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of the difference between CommonJS and ESM, including how to migrate complex applications from the former to the latter
  • Familiarity with the latest patterns and best practices on hooks, composition, and migrating class-based components to functional components
  • Deep understanding of the complexities involved in managing a component framework and the subtleties of building interactive components that fulfill a wide range of user needs and often subconscious user expectations, including accessibility concerns
  • Extensive experience with modern CSS and its patterns, best practices, & intricacies
  • Extensive experience with front-end test frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha, or preferably Jest) and integrating code coverage reporting into the SDLC
  • Experience with E2E test frameworks (Cypress, preferably Playwright)
  • Extensive experience with at least one of the modern build, workspace, and monorepo management tools, such as Vite, Babel, Nx, and/or Turborepo
  • Extensive experience with observability in web applications (Sentry, Datadog, Hotjar, Pendo, FullStory, or similar) that track important metrics supporting efficient investigation and resolutions of performance, scalability, and maintainability issues
  • Familiarity with code quality and code style tools such as ESLint & Prettier, including their integration with the IDEs and commit automation
  • Skilled in collaborating with architects, backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features in line with company goals, driving decision-making and communicating transparently
  • Strong communicator: explains complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers
  • Experience with GraphQL is desired but not necessary
  • Mobile platforms and chart rendering experience is a plus
