Join Direct Travel’s Leisure Supplier Management team and work with a diverse portfolio of top-tier suppliers in the cruise, tour, and DMC/on-site spaces. In this role, you'll collaborate across departments to fuel revenue growth, troubleshoot challenges, and support our travel advisors. Your strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and exceptional interpersonal abilities will be key as you lead strategic initiatives, communicate exclusive offers, and innovate sales programs.

This is a remote position.

Expedition Expectations

  • Work as part of the Leisure Supplier Management (LSM) team to achieve department and company objectives.
  • Manage a portfolio of leisure suppliers in the cruise, tour, and DMC/on-site spaces, ensuring alignment overarching partnership strategy.
  • Apply strong numerical and analytical skills to inform business strategies and drive incremental revenue.
  • Collaborate with various departments to communicate offers, incentives, and updates from key partners.
  • Manage sales growth programs and explore innovative ways to increase sales with preferred partners.
  • Oversee a supplier escalation management system to support travel advisors across North America.
  • Support the leisure supplier training program.
  • Update supplier information on the company intranet as needed.
  • Support other LSM team members and other departments on various projects as needed.

Passport to Success

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, and Outlook as well as a propensity to learn new programs.
  • High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent industry experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Leisure Travel or Hospitality Industry, with a preference for managing supplier relationships on the agency side.
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization for US or Canada.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and active listening skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple partners and projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated learner committed to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Experience managing escalations or ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Virtuoso and DMCs/on-site operations is beneficial.
