You’ll be working with a talented team of people who have built highly successful companies and globally-distributed systems at companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Okta, Oracle, Cloudera, MongoDB, NewRelic and Twitter.

As a developer focused solution, Fauna’s business will be driven forward by the powerful relationships we build within our ecosystem and customer base. The SDR role is an important one at the top of our sales funnel, where you will often define a prospect’s first impression of Fauna, as well as become a trusted advisor to our internal teams on what you learn from customers/prospects. Working directly with Sales Leadership, you will grow the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and customers. You will also work closely with the broader GTM team (sales, marketing, product) to execute on GTM campaign strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and revenue. This role offers plenty of opportunity for advancement as you will be joining a fast growth startup on the ground floor, and working with an experienced group of operators invested in teaching you the skills to scale your career.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • 1+ years experience working in sales or customer facing roles
  • Grit and a track record of achievement in competitive/fast-paced environments
  • Time management skills, and the ability to self start and motivate
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for technology and ability to learn new concepts quickly

Nice to have:

  • Prior Sales/SDR experience at technology company
  • Previous experience working with technical audiences
  • Experience using sales productivity tools (e.g. Salesforce, LinkedIn, GoogleSuite)

What you will do at Fauna:

  • Identify and engage new and existing contacts by phone, email, and social channels to build awareness and interest
  • Develop strong product, sales, and industry acumen
  • Outline the value of Fauna to potential customers in the context of their business goals
  • Research market opportunities, companies, and contacts to build high potential target lists for outreach
  • Pre-qualify opportunities via inbound/outbound channels to assess mutual fit
  • Nurture early phase sales opportunities and future pipeline
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify and execute pipeline building campaigns
  • Effectively record and distribute key learnings to internal stakeholders
  • Achieve metric driven goals in support of sales plan

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $70,000 plus a variable component. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training and location.
