You’ll be working with a talented team of people who have built highly successful companies and globally-distributed systems at companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Okta, Databricks, Oracle, Cloudera, MongoDB, NewRelic and Twitter.

As a Founding Enterprise AE at Fauna, you will work closely with our VP of Sales to launch our Enterprise focused Sales led GTM strategy and be tasked with engaging Enterprise prospects, building competent sales pipeline and driving high value Enterprise Logo acquisition. You understand that as an operational database, Fauna is a core and foundational element of our customer’s applications. By aligning to both technical and business outcomes, and building the necessary relationships and plans to drive those outcomes, you are a critical component of ensuring the success of Fauna’s great customers. Working directly with Sales Leadership, you will engage with customers to drive adoption, expand use cases, and grow relationships. As the primary owner of our customers’ success, you will also be a cross functional connector, working closely with marketing, product, support, etc to support our growing Enterprise customer base.

What you will Do:

  • Achieve metric and quota driven goals in support of sales plan
  • Manage relationships with and grow Fauna’s existing customer base
  • Work with SA counterpart and SDR to identify and engage Net-New Enterprise Prospects with the goals of driving adoption, joint success, and revenue via Land and Expand
  • Prospect and Build competent Sales Pipeline and mutual success plans that align technical goals to business outcomes
  • Drive Net-New ARR from Enterprise Target Accounts
  • Function as customer advocate internally when providing feedback to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Product & Marketing to launch and execute top of the funnel Sales/Marketing campaigns in an effort to create awareness and build inbound interest
  • Work with Partners to scale and uncover low hanging fruit

What you will Bring:

  • 5+ years of Enterprise Sales Experience
  • Background working at Early Stage Startups
  • Track record of high achievement in competitive quota carrying environments
  • Experience managing relationships through the customer lifecycle & stages from creating awareness/adoption to landing & expanding customer logos
  • A demonstrated ability to correlate technical requirements to business outcomes
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for technology and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Strong process and operating cadence aligned with hyper-growth startup

Nice to have:

  • 3-5+ years experience selling SaaS and/or relevant domain experience
  • Previous experience selling to Application Developers/Architects/DBAs/VP Eng/C*O personas
  • Experience using sales productivity tools (e.g. Salesforce, LinkedIn, GoogleSuite)
  • MEDDPICC or Force Management Proficiency

This is a US based, full time position with an OTE range of $250K-$300K per year (50/50 Base & Variable). Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as quota, location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and sales experience. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base/variable salary only, and do not include equity or other benefits which certain roles may be eligible for.
