Lexion is a fast-growing, fun, venture-backed startup founded at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence. We raised our Series B in April 2023, backed by Point72 Ventures and Citi Ventures, and we’re on a mission to help every team get deals done faster.

Our team is made up of world-class NLP experts, seasoned large-scale product builders, and veterans of Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and SurveyMonkey. AI investors (including A16Z, Sequoia, and Goldman Sachs) voted Lexion as one of the top 40 Intelligent Applications to watch in 2022—and we’re trusted by brands like Outreach, OfferUp, Brooks Running, BlueNile and more.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to be an early member of the Lexion team, build category-defining products, and make a real impact in tech.

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer with a growth mindset, who loves to solve challenging problems, and wants to have an impact on how businesses operate. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing user-facing products and will develop interaction methods that facilitate collaboration between non-technical users and cutting-edge machine learning technologies. You will create simple, beautiful experiences that bring real AI into the workplace and delight our users.

As a design owner at Lexion, you will work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to design beautiful and elegant products to solve complex problems.

In this role you will:

  1. Work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver high quality, end-to-end experiences in a fast-paced startup environment
  2. Translate business and functional requirements into user flows, wireframes, and designs
  3. Establish consistent and reusable design patterns informed by the latest design thinking
  4. Become an expert and champion for user needs and goals
  5. Create designs informed by long-term vision and product strategy while also helping the product team design a lean MVP
  6. Conduct usability testing and incorporate user and team feedback
  7. Provide assets, specifications, and guidance for implementation of the user interface throughout the development process

What we look for:

  1. 5+ years of experience designing experiences for complex business or enterprise applications
  2. Experience gathering insights on user needs as well as conducting usability testing
  3. Experience juggling long-term strategic work while simultaneously executing on near-term needs
  4. Strong design sense when faced with ambiguous decisions without perfect data
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space as well as design decisions and underlying rationale
  6. Excellent visual design skills
  7. Expert in Figma or other visual design, wireframing, and prototyping tools
  8. Someone who is eager for the opportunity to join a team that collaborates both in person and remotely
  9. Bonus: Degree in Design or equivalent experience

(And a note to those of you who read this far and are worried you might not be qualified. Apply anyway. You might be just the person we're looking for.)

What we offer:

  • A fast-paced, inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid parental leave
  • Equity
