As a Principal Technical Product Manager, you will own and drive the product direction and strategy for the Bring Your Own Model product vertical. With a focus on the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of tools and solutions that empower developers to bring their own models (BYOM) seamlessly and efficiently to our OctoAI compute services.
Take ownership of the strategy, design, and implementation of developer platforms and tools, ensuring they align with our company’s vision and business objectives.
Champion the development and enhancement of our authoring tools and command-line interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive, robust, and fit for purpose.
Drive the initiatives around remote building and deployment to offer developers seamless integration and deployment experiences.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our Python Software Development Kit, ensuring it meets the high standards of quality, performance, and developer experience.
Collaborate closely with our research and ML teams to prioritize and productize research efforts, fulfilling our promise of auto-acceleration for customer BYOM PyTorch models.
Lead the strategy and implementation for integrations with various developer platforms and tools, making it easier for developers to implement and utilize BYOM.
Use empathy for developer pain points to shape BYOM product direction. Continuously gather feedback and iterate on the product to ensure it addresses real-world developer needs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, developer relations, and marketing, to ensure product requirements are met and initiatives are aligned.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in product management, preferably in developer tools, SDKs, or platforms.
Strong technical background, preferably with experience as a developer or in a similar technical role. Experience with Docker / Kubernetes or similar technologies are a plus.
Passionate about developing generalized AI applications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex product initiatives from conception to launch and post-launch analysis.
