OctoAI is a leading startup in the fast-paced generative AI market. Our mission is to empower businesses to build differentiated applications that delight customers with the latest generative AI features.
Our platform, OctoAI, delivers generative AI infrastructure to run, tune, and scale models that power AI applications. OctoAI makes models work for you by providing developers easy access to efficient AI infrastructure so they can run the models they choose, tune them for their specific use case, and scale from dev to production seamlessly. With the fastest foundation models on the market (including Llama-3, Stable Diffusion, and SDXL), integrated customization solutions, and world-class ML systems under the hood, developers can focus on building apps that wow their customers without becoming AI infrastructure experts.
Our team consists of experts in cloud services, infrastructure, machine learning systems, hardware, and compilers as well as an accomplished go-to-market team with diverse backgrounds. We have secured over $130M in venture capital funding and will continue to grow over the next year. We're based largely in Seattle but have a remote-first culture with people working all over the US and elsewhere in the world.
We dream big but execute with focus and believe in creativity, productivity, and a balanced life. We value diversity in all dimensions and are always looking for talented people to join our team!
Overview:
OctoAI is seeking a Director of Web Strategy to join our growing Go-to-Market Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth and Demand Generation, you’ll be responsible for contributing to the company's revenue growth through user experience, capturing demand through our non-paid channels, and maximizing the business impact of our digital presence.
We treat our websites like products, so as the Director of Web Strategy, you’ll act as a product manager for octo.ai, our documentation, and any demos or microsites we create to enable Sales or Field Marketing. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of talented developers, designers, and other functional players that will help you create these high-impact digital experiences.
The ideal candidate for this role is an enthusiastic team manager and cross-functional communicator who will thrive in a results-focused, growth-centric environment. You should have a knack for numbers, an eye for great design, and the ability to translate analytics into action. You are someone who is excited to dive in and be accountable for growing our non-paid acquisition engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise and execute comprehensive website strategies across all web experiences that align with OctoAI’s overall business objectives.
  • Develop and be held accountable to a budget, timeline, and resourcing plan to effectively and efficiently execute your strategies.
  • Clearly communicate your plans within the organization to your Go-To-Market teammates, across to peers in Product/Engineering, and upwards to Executive Leadership.
  • Manage, mentor, and advise the team to grow their skills and knowledge and enable them to achieve their career goals.
  • Look to build scalable processes that allow the team to execute and make quick decisions based on imperfect data.
  • Identify new, best-of-breed technologies, automation, and AI tools that allow the team to deliver excellent work with increasing efficiency.
  • Identify long term organization design, determining where we need to continue leveraging internal vs. external resources.
  • Implement strategies to drive non-paid traffic to OctoAI’s websites, maximizing visibility and reach with accountability to quarterly goals.
  • Leverage your developer resources to ensure our websites are built with best-in-class performance and SEO best practices in place.
  • Drive and execute the creation of SEO content that will drive users based on their intent at the top, mid, and bottom of the funnel.
  • Research and identify opportunities to leverage AI in our overall SEO content strategy.
  • Scale the QoQ business impact of our traffic with quality signups and leads through a robust strategy, as created by you!
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize website conversion rates (CRO), turning visitors into customers and advocates.
  • Identify and build our website CRO roadmap and testing plan in partnership with Product to enhance quality top-of-funnel signups.
  • Communicate the results of the test and next steps to a larger audience across Leadership, Product, and Marketing teammates
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the user experience, ensuring seamless paths for visitors to the product and creating user journeys designed for our best customers.
  • Building free tools, demos, and web resources that highlight the value of our products to new users.
  • Leverage analytics tools to gather insights into website performance, user behavior, user testing, and trends. Use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Own and implement weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting that showcases channel performance for all non-paid growth and recommend strategies needed to improve or scale.
  • Present strategies and progress toward goals to many different audiences including Marketing, Product/Engineering leadership, and our Executive Team.
  • Create reports that can shared across the marketing team and used for presentation to leadership and board slides.
  • Work closely with the broader Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to align website initiatives with company goals, responding to and prioritizing external requests accordingly.
  • In partnership with the Product Marketing Team, establish the value of our platform and products to both new and existing users across our web experiences.
  • Be a source of new ideas to present to your colleagues by regularly listening to Sales and Customer Success calls, sit in on Product/Engineering demos, and be a keen observer of our fast-moving market.
  • Enable anyone who needs to publish content across our website with easy-to-use tooling and easy-to-follow best practices for quality content.

What we look for:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on website strategy and digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in driving traffic, improving user experience, and optimizing conversion rates in a product or sales-led environment, ideally both.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across various audiences (peers, exec, direct reports) and mediums (slides, all-hands, budget proposals, Slack).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful website strategies with measurable impact on the go-to-market funnel.
  • Comfortable with operating in a remote-working environment where you’ll be expected to proactively take charge of strategy and ownership over key success metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work according to its potential impact on the metrics you are responsible for.
