We are looking for a Director of Marketing Operations that is excited to bring Pulumi’s cloud programming model to the world. You will be a part of realizing a vision where every developer can harness the power of the cloud.
As the Director of Marketing Operations you will be responsible for leading effective strategy, investment, and accountability across the Pulumi marketing department. You’ll work closely with stakeholders from marketing, sales, and data engineering to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives, ensuring that our lead flow process is optimized and captures key milestones for reporting.

While Pulumi is headquartered in Seattle, WA., we are dedicated to being a remote first company. This role will be remote in the United States.
In This Role You Will:
- Define the marketing operations vision and strategy that enables data-driven decision making
- Own the marketing operations roadmap, ensuring marketing technology is evaluated, selected, implemented and customized to meet the needs of stakeholders
- Administer the marketing budget and ensure marketing costs are tracked correctly
- Work with the product and growth engineering teams to incorporate product usage data into our marketing, sales, and customer success playbooks
- Regularly inform stakeholders across marketing, sales, and finance of insights on funnel performance to ensure cross functional alignment and a data-driven optimization strategy
- Track and report on the marketing funnel; volume, velocity, conversion, and value – additionally provide insights by dimensions such as industry, geo, pipeline source, etc.
- Ensure processes are designed, documented and understood across the team
- Continually work to simplify systems and processes, minimizing the risks for incomplete or inaccurate data
We’re Looking For Someone With:
- 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, preferably for a SaaS company
- Balance of strategic vision and tactical execution; willing to be hands on/roll up your sleeves
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- Experience designing an innovative marketing tech stack
- Proficient with modern marketing automation and sales platforms (HubSpot/Marketo, Salesforce, Outreach, etc.)
- Adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to communicate projects, priorities and timelines clearly to stakeholders and senior management
Compensation:
- Base Salary Hiring Range: $140,000 - $180,000
- All full time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
