The Role:

The Director of Corporate Communications will define, build, and lead SeekOut’s Corporate Communication function. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, we are looking for an inclusive communications professional to lead the PR and analyst relations teams. You will be the key point of contact for media and analyst relations, our brand agency, and internal and external communications. You will thrive in this leadership role if you excel at working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strategic thinking, and communicate effectively both internally and externally.

The Opportunity:

As the Director of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for evangelizing SeekOut’s category and platform strategy, own our brand narrative, and implement strategies that solidify our market leadership position. You are creative, an innovative thinker, and master storyteller with a track record of successfully contributing to the growth of leading enterprise software companies. You deeply understand the impact of your various channels and levers to maximize market awareness and shape SeekOut’s brand perception in the market. You have solid and respected relationships with the media, particularly in technology and HR/people functions. You are a leader with demonstrated success empowering high performing teams and partnering across executive levels to make things happen quickly and at scale. You understand the needs of a hyper-growth organization, and you can quickly navigate and balance short-, mid-, and longer-term goals that support our company growth objectives.


What you will be doing:

  • Design SeekOut’s corporate communications strategy, helping to develop the narrative, raise awareness, and educate the market on our category and industry point of view.
  • Develop analyst relationships, effectively influencing analysts and growing their awareness of SeekOut. Success will look like industry analysts and key media figures frequently referencing SeekOut and recommending our solutions to their clients and audiences.
  • Ensure SeekOut’s senior leadership team are seen as trusted authorities across core thought leadership areas, through development of executive profiles, ensuring spokespeople are well briefed and trained to deliver key messages. Support development of presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messaging as needed.
  • Provide executive communication support to senior leadership team across a variety of internal, external, client, and media communications opportunities
  • Tell the SeekOut story through the voice of our customers, leveraging PR, AR, social media, awards & speaking opportunities.
  • Manage a team of communications, social media, and content professionals
  • Ensure SeekOut and appropriate internal stakeholders are prepared to manage through public facing issues or crisis situations, by maintaining policies and procedures for supporting the leadership team should crisis management or issue response be required.


What you should have:

  • 10-15 years in Corporate Communications, Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Analyst Relations leadership positions in enterprise technologies, including experience in cloud / SaaS environments.
  • Skilled at crisp and compelling messaging with a passion for creating stories that highlight key points of differentiation and resonate with media, analysts, and customers.
  • Strong, respected relationships with press/reporters/media/analysts required.
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort regularly engaging with reporters on background, off-the-record and on the record.
  • Deep experience with executive communications, developing their profiles across numerous channels.
  • Experience “influencing the influencers” to help drive category creation and lead the market in a new direction through strategy, thought leadership, and customer advocacy.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills; an inspiring leader that can scale and manage a high-impact team.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis management and online reputation management preferred.
  • Track record of innovation, successfully tackling challenges in new and creative ways.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.

To ensure fairness for new hires and existing team members, we factor in an individual's unique skills and experience, market data, and the internal equity of the team.

Base Salary Hiring Range: $152 -190k annually
