The Director of Service Operations is a key member of the TerraClear management team responsible for delivering TerraClear's customer-facing solutions. Your leadership will enable TerraClear to rapidly scale. This includes owning the delivery our solutions to customers - planning and coordinating operations, building a service delivery channel, and overseeing key external relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record with agriculture and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment. You will report to the President.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale service delivery (mapping and farm services), including capacity planning/modeling and quality control
  • Manage internal operations personnel and external partners - including recruiting, training, and scheduling
  • Manage Field Operations, providing oversight of commercial and R&D activities
  • Manage Production Operations for end-to-end rock map generation pipeline processing
  • Oversee logistics and facilities in the Midwest, including acquisition and disposal of assets, contracts, OSHA compliance, etc
  • Work closely with the management team on strategic and operational planning, and drive transparent alignment between teams

Qualifications:

  • Strong data-driven analytical and organizational skills
  • Meaningful experience in a decision-making role (early stage company experience desired)
  • 10+ years experience in agriculture operations
  • 5+ years leading teams and delivering solutions to customers
  • 5+ years management experience, to include hiring and retaining high performers
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven - must be comfortable leading and operating in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Demonstrated proficiency with software tools including, but not limited to, CRM (Hubspot), Google Suite, data and productivity tools (Smartsheet, excel), capable of leveraging these tools to optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and support data-driven decision-making.
