Position Summary

Terray is seeking a Research Associate on our microarray preparation and imaging team. This team is the backbone of everything we do at Terray, as they are responsible for producing the ultra-dense microarray chips that power our entire discovery effort.

The Research Associate will primarily be responsible for:

  • Loading on-bead libraries into microarrays.
  • Placing the microarrays into a flow cell assembly.
  • Operating Terray’s proprietary, automated imaging and fluidics systems to identify the oligonucleotide sequence at each of the 32 million locations on each chip.
  • Analyzing the resulting data and determining which chips can progress to DNA-removal and screening.
  • Handling oligonucleotides (receiving, labeling, purifying, QC).
  • Ensuring the team meets its throughput and quality goals.

This work will include:

  • Buffer crafting and other general wet lab duties
  • Organization of lab equipment and other laboratory tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Skill in time management and multitasking.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to be a team player in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a wet lab.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy.
  • Experience working with Python.

Compensation Details

$62,500-$84,000 (annually) depending on seniority; participation in the Company's option plan; 3% 401K safe harbor contribution; fully paid health, dental, vision benefits.
