JobSummary/Objective:

Founders get a lot of the credit, but we know the real visionaries are the Product Managers. In this role, you will have direct access to the founder and our entire senior leadership team to define the solutions that will help Archway thrive in the retail banking technology space.

In this role, you have ability to establish this critical function in our early stage, high-growth company. Your domain expertise in retail banking and product management will enable you to hit the ground running and contribute to our mission on day one. You will be responsible for setting our retail banking product strategy and creating our product roadmap.Your ideas will be realized as solutions by a highly technical and collaborative team of engineering partners.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess the retail banking technology landscape and existing Archway retail banking solutions
  • Develop a visionary roadmap for revolutionary retail banking software solutions
  • Conduct customer interviews and market analysis to inform product vision
  • Craft an 18-month rolling roadmap aligned with market demands and domain expertise
  • Define SMART milestones for product development and implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline product requirements for an MVP
  • Identify and engage target banks for MVP piloting and feedback collection
  • Refine products based on insights, preparing for a successful market launch
  • Travel to customers, conferences and other locations as required
  • Embrace a startup culture, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for project success
  • Up to 50% travel required

Short Term and Longer Term Deliverables:

Within 3 Months

Define a product vision and 18-month roadmap for a game-changing retail banking product that will be used to establish Archway as a key technology solution provider for retail banking. Create a thorough set of product requirements that define a minimally viable product (MVP). Define how that product will establish a beach head that will allow us to expand Archway’s footprint with our growing portfolio of retail products. Compose a list of target banks that are excellent pilot candidates for the product MVP. Leveraging your domain expertise, inform the vision by conducting customer interviews, competitive market analysis, and pressure-testing concept with retail banking executives.

Within 6 Months

Begin working closely with the technical product managers and engineering teams to align resource requirements. Using SCRUM methodology, direct the overall product timelines and expectations. Archway follows Agile development methodology to ensure speed and agility of product delivery. Work with Customer Success team to deliver MVP to initial customer(s) and evaluate success based on set criteria.

Within 9 Months

Launch MVP with two pilot banks to gain valuable feedback and insights on product quality and value proposition. Work with engineering to make required changes to product to prepare for go to market.

Within 12 Months

Work with product marketing to finalize a go to market strategy including messaging, ideal customer profile, pricing strategy and sales materials.

Job Requirements

Skills and Attributes:
  • Product Management Experience: Demonstrable success in taking software products from concept to delivery
  • Domain Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of retail banking, acquired through prior roles in banking industry, or focused product management in retail banking
  • Innovation and Creativity: Proven ability to materialize ideas into tangible products or solutions
  • A Problem Solver Mentality: Understanding that encountering problems is part of the process toward finding solutions and overcoming obstacles
  • Continuous Curiosity: Always striving to consider what else can be done, how can we be better, and what more can I learn
  • Teamwork and Accountability: Have a team-first attitude, believing that working together enables the best outcomes. Hold yourself personally accountable for achieving great team outcomes

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrable excellence in product management, with a strong focus on retail banking software solutions.
  • Extensive background in product management within the financial technology (FinTech) industry, with proven success in launching and managing enterprise software products.
  • Ideal candidate possesses hands-on experience in retail banking with a unique perspective on how to bridge business and technology requirements.
