Branch is looking for a Corporate Controller to lead our financial operations and reporting activities. As the Corporate Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting processes, financial planning, and financial compliance. You will work closely with the VP Finance and collaborate with various departments to ensure that our financial functions are efficient, accurate, and aligned with company goals.

As a Corporate Controller, you’ll get to:

Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Work closely with FP&A on forecast versus actual analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, such as GAAP and local regulatory requirements.

Financial Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect company assets and ensure financial stability.

Financial Operations:

  • Manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial transactions.
  • Drive and refine processes related to financial and accounting operations.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions activities, financial due diligence, and integration processes.
  • Drive the financial systems & operations roadmap to enable Branch to scale.

Team Development:

  • Mentoring, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensuring cohesiveness between teams and stakeholders.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Leading with empathy and humility while also delivering results.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership position and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in managing financial operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role: the estimated pay range for this role, if based in Palo Alto, CA, is $245,000 - $313,000

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Palo Alto, CA only. Compensation for candidates outside of Palo Alto, CA will be based on the candidate’s specific work location.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above.

This role will be based at our Palo Alto office and follows a Hybrid schedule that will be aligned with our Return to Office guidelines.
