Branch Metrics is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Legal to join our team as a Senior Director. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead our legal department and provide strategic counsel on a wide range of legal matters impacting our growing technology company.

As the Head of Legal, you will get to:

Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals, overseeing their work and professional development
Provide thought partnership & expert legal advice to executive leadership on corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, privacy, and other relevant areas
Negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, partnerships, and vendor contracts
Oversee corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and strategic investments
Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budget
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and business initiatives
Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with a state bar association
10+ years of relevant legal experience, including leadership roles
Strong knowledge of technology and privacy laws, intellectual property, and corporate law
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a fast-paced technology company preferred
Strong business acumen and ability to balance legal risks with business objectives

This role will be based at our new Austin, TX office and in alignment with our return to office policy, this role follows our Hybrid schedule. However, we are also open to full-time remote candidates.
