At Branch, we’re transforming how brands and users interact across digital platforms. Our mobile marketing and deep linking solutions are trusted to deliver seamless experiences that increase ROI, decrease wasted spend, and eliminate siloed attribution. Our Branch team consists of smart, humble, and collaborative people who value ownership over all. Everything we do is centered around creating a great product, team, and company that lives and breathes our motto: Build Together, Grow Together, Win Together.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll establish and lead our Mobile Measurement Platform (MMP) engineering presence in Bangalore, India. This is a founding team member role, where you will not only write code and ship features in the early days, but also play a pivotal part in building and scaling a world-class engineering team.

You’ll work closely with our global engineering leads, customer success teams, and product partners to deliver highly reliable and privacy-forward attribution and analytics services used by customers worldwide. As the first hire in India for this team, you’ll also be a bridge to our local partner teams and help surface and solve regional challenges through engineering innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a high‑performing team — drive end‑to‑end hiring, streamlined onboarding, and continuous coaching to create an engaged, empowered engineering group
  • Own mission‑critical services — lead design and delivery of MMP core components, from partner integrations to internal tooling, ensuring reliability at scale
  • Lead by example in code — contribute hands‑on to architecture and implementation during the Team’s formative stage to set quality and style standards
  • Deliver global APIs and features — collaborate seamlessly with U.S. engineering, product, and design counterparts to ship world‑class capabilities
  • Translate customer pain into solutions — partner with local CS, Support, and GTM teams to surface issues and convert insights into engineering fixes and product wins
  • Set the engineering bar — define and enforce best practices for code quality, scalability, resiliency, and secure operations
  • Foster a culture of learning and ownership — champion continuous improvement, customer obsession, and shared accountability across the team

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a people manager role
  • Strong coding skills in backend technologies (e.g., Java, Go, Scala, or similar) and experience building scalable distributed systems
  • Prior experience working on advertising platforms, attribution systems, analytics, or mobile SDKs is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams, preferably in a high-growth, distributed environment
  • Comfortable collaborating with remote/global teams across time zones
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured solutions
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and building an inclusive and empowering team culture

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to found and scale a new engineering team from the ground up in Bangalore
  • Work on cutting-edge products used globally in the fast-evolving mobile attribution and analytics space
  • Direct impact on both technical direction and business success, with high visibility
  • Hybrid flexibility and a global team culture built on trust, innovation, and learning

This role will be based at our Bengaluru, KA office and follows a Hybrid schedule that will be aligned with our Return to Office guidelines. This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
