As a Forward Deployed AI Product Manager at Charta, you'll play a pivotal role in deploying, customizing, and optimizing cutting-edge generative AI healthcare solutions directly for our clients.
About Charta Health
In an industry where the focus should rightly be on delivering quality care to patients, healthcare providers remain burdened by the complexities of non-clinical operations. Charta is changing that.
We're building the operating system for modern healthcare organizations. Our AI platform streamlines critical workflows across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and administrative functions, helping providers and payers operate more efficiently and deliver better patient care. Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Charta is on a mission to make every healthcare dollar accountable and every chart accurate, reimagining healthcare infrastructure from the ground up.
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Product Manager to lead Charta’s customer engagements end-to-end, from early discovery through successful deployment. You’ll be the connective tissue between our customers, Sales, and Engineering, ensuring every implementation not only solves real problems but delivers lasting product value.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Sales during the pre-sales process to deeply understand customer pain points, shape solution architecture, and build confidence in Charta’s ability to deliver. Post-signature, you’ll take the lead on onboarding, drive implementation design, and collaborate with Engineering to bring tailored solutions to life.
This is a high-trust, high-impact role on a team that thrives on ownership. You’ll be translating complex customer needs into scalable, repeatable outcomes — helping to shape both our product and our customer experience as we grow.
What you'll do:
- Design, build and manage Enterprise-quality AI solutions in collaboration with customers.
- Lead technical discovery during sales, guiding feasibility conversations, scoping integrations, and setting realistic expectations around what Charta can (and can’t) do.
- Understand workflows, set up integrations that map to real clinical and operational needs, and deliver high ROI for each customer.
- Shape the product roadmap, working with Charta’s engineering and product teams to scope and implement new features essential to the success of your customers.
You'd be a great fit, if you:
- Operate like an owner. You are detail-oriented and obsessed with getting things right for whoever your stakeholders are — whether it’s a client workflow, a sales contract, or an engineering spec.
- Turn ambiguity into opportunity. You excel at gathering intel from customers and translating their pain points and workflows into clear product requirements to deliver holistic solutions that align with both user needs & technical constraints.
- Are a clear, confident communicator who builds trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can guide complex conversations with clarity.
- Can combine technical fluency (APIs, data workflows, systems thinking) with strong communication and structured problem-solving (client walkthroughs, product memos etc.).
- Have 2-3+ years of experience in consulting, product, or solutions engineering (or other relevant experience), where you enjoy owning long-term relationships and tackling ambiguous problems.
Nice to have:
- You’ve worked in healthcare, especially with provider systems, data standards (FHIR, HL7), or clinical operations or early stage, SaaS-based solutions.
What we offer:
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision and life insurance.
- Team dinners and snacks in the office to keep you at your best
- Growth opportunities in a fast-paced, innovative tech startup.
- Ongoing professional development and access to cutting-edge AI and healthcare tools.
- Lively in-person work culture at our SF Headquarters.
- $150,000 - $200,000 USD depending on experience + Equity + Benefits
- Annual performance based bonus up to 30%
At Charta, we believe great products begin with great people — and nowhere is that more true than in this role. You’ll be trusted with our most valuable relationships, and given the autonomy and tools to succeed. If you’re excited about healthcare, software, and making complex systems work for people — we’d love to meet you.
