A Principal Solution Architect is a highly experienced technical leader responsible for designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level technology solutions, aligning with business objectives, by leveraging deep technical expertise to guide architecture decisions, mentor junior architects, and ensure successful project delivery across the entire solution lifecycle; acting as a key stakeholder in defining and executing the organization's technology roadmap.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

• Strategic Architecture Design:
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into comprehensive technical architectures, considering scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering leadership to help them develop and build solutions, identifying emerging trends and technologies to drive innovation.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Review and approve technical designs, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Backup, Recovery and Security of key workloads (VMware, Databases, NAS, Physical, etc), staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
• Solution Delivery:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
  • Lead the technical aspects of complex projects, including solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage technical risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and project success.
• Presales and Business Development:
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, presenting technical solutions to potential clients and contributing to proposal development.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop customized solutions.
• Architecture Governance:
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and patterns to maintain consistency and quality across systems.
  • Review and approve architectural decisions made by project teams, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise-level solutions across multiple technology domains (e.g., Data protection, Data Security, Disaster Recovery, etc.)
• Deep understanding of Data Management and related concepts
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior architects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
