We're searching for a Accounting Manager to join Cohesity's growing Global Accounting team, reporting to our Controller of EMEA, in Cork, Ireland. This role will be responsible for assisting / reviewing the preparation of statutory financial statements and reviewing the month end financial close. You will leverage experience in statutory compliance to assist efforts in ensuring financial statement audits and statutory filings are managed and completed efficiently. You'll accomplish this through partnering closely with the global Finance and Accounting teams, building relationships with local outsourced providers, and with internal stakeholders in HR and Legal.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Correspondence with vendors/employees regarding payment statuses
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements across multiple entities in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Responsible for direct reports and their respective countries.
- Timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, including coordination of the global close calendar.
- Key point of contact for the completion of statutory audits of EMEA entities including statutory financial statement preparation, coordination with external audit firms and internal stakeholders.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.
- Review of completed management accounts package including working papers and FLUX analysis on monthly basis.
- Review balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness monthly.
- Preparing of statutory accounting journals into NetSuite.
- Present monthly data to management and fully understand the accounts to provide clarity.
- Be a strong team leader, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- 7+ years relevant experience in accounting roles, either in practise or industry style environments
- Qualifications – Either University Graduate or ACA/ACCA qualified
- Previously managerial experience desirable
- Proficient understanding of US GAAP accounting, including GL journal entries and accruals
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Highly Proficient in MS Office and Excel. Well organized and great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written English communication with research and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service and positive attitude
- Team player and willingness to learn quickly
- Previously managerial experience desirable
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Creative use of skills and resources to get the job done
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Having work experience in a Shared Service Centre environment a plus
- NetSuite ERP reporting system experience preferred but not essential
