We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Staff Security Solutions Engineer to join our Security Center of Excellence (SCOE). This role is ideal for a security evangelist who can bridge the gap between technology, security strategy, and field enablement.As the representative of the SCOE team, you will be hands-on lead and drive thought leadership, building trust with customers and partners, and enabling our sales teams to accelerate cyber resilience adoption. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, empowering the field with the right security solutions, architectures, and best practices.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Security Evangelism & Thought Leadership
- Act as the primary evangelist for Cohesity’s security strategy, solutions, and vision.
- Represent the SCOE at conferences, webinars, partner events, and customer briefings.
- Publish blogs, whitepapers, reference architecture, and thought leadership content on modern security trends and solutions.
- Sales Enablement & Field Support
- Partner with the WWFO (Worldwide Field Organization) to drive security-focused sales plays, value drivers, and customer outcomes.
- Enable Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Field Technical Directors, and Partners through training, workshops, and collateral.
- Support strategic customer engagements, Proof of concept, and executive briefings.
- Create high-quality security collateral, including technical deep dive slides, best practice guides, and reference architectures, while also enabling the field and customers to utilize these resources.
- Security Solution Expertise
- Hands-on and lead conversations on threat hunting, sensitive data classification, data security posture management (DSPM), and data protection.
- Guide customers on cyber resilience, ransomware recovery, Security integrations, backup strategies, and orchestration frameworks.
- Collaborate with product teams to influence the security roadmap and ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the voice of the field within the SCOE, bringing insights from customers and partners back to engineering, product, and marketing teams.
- Drive the creation of security artifacts—security narrative, technical deep dive, reference architecture, partner (security) sales playbooks, competitive positioning, and technical content.

- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of data security, DSPM, data classification, threat hunting, and modern security frameworks.
- Experience with data protection technologies, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery orchestration.
- Familiarity with cloud security, ransomware defense strategies, and zero-trust principles.
- Evangelism & Enablement
- Demonstrated expertise as a technical evangelist, field enabler, or security subject matter expert (SME).
- Strong ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical teams and executive leadership through compelling storytelling.
- Skilled in developing sales enablement materials and leading impactful, security-centric sessions.
- Adept at creating security collateral to support sales teams, partners, and customers.
- Proficient in facilitating tabletop exercises, cyber resilience training, and driving security partner integrations.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Ability to influence and lead across multiple teams—engineering, product, sales, and marketing.
- Strategic thinker who can balance deep technical expertise with business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in security engineering, solution architecture, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with data security, DSPM (Data Security Posture Management), sensitive data classification, DLP, threat hunting, and ransomware defense.
- Deep understanding of backup & recovery, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, and orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and SaaS ecosystems
- Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, XDR, and EDR platforms for detection and response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are a strong plus.
- Proven track record in customer-facing roles supporting enterprise accounts.
- Exceptional storytelling and evangelism skills to engage both technical and executive stakeholders
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
$176,000.00-$220,000.00
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
