The TA Operations, India Lead is a player-coach role responsible for overseeing day-to-day recruiting operations across the India region while remaining actively involved in execution. This role leads a team of TA Operations Specialists and drives regional and global process improvement efforts. The India Lead operates in close partnership with the global TA Operations team to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality experiences for candidates and hiring teams.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE


Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of TA Operations Specialists in India, providing day-to-day guidance, training, and performance support to enable consistent, high-quality execution.

  • Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and coverage planning to ensure operational continuity across the India region.

  • Serve as a hands-on TA Operations Specialist for leadership, high-complexity, or confidential roles, modeling best practices for the team.

  • Handle escalations related to processes, systems, candidates, or cross-functional dependencies, resolving issues with sound judgment and a solutions-oriented approach.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Lead process improvement initiatives across the recruiting lifecycle, identifying inefficiencies and standardizing best practices both regionally and in partnership with the global TA Operations team.

  • Continuously assess and improve the experience for candidates and hiring teams, including communication, process clarity, and operational touchpoints.

  • Use feedback and data to identify trends and drive thoughtful, evidence-based enhancements to TA operations.

Systems, Technology & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with People Technology and global stakeholders on change management and rollout of new tools and processes, ensuring India-region needs are represented and accounted for.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and other key teams to maintain and update templates and candidate-facing resources, with particular attention to India-specific compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate closely with People Operations to ensure a seamless, compliant, and locally relevant offer-to-hire process for India-based candidates.

  • Partner with global TA leadership to ensure regional operations align with broader organizational standards and goals.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting operations, HR operations, or a related coordination/program management role.

  • 2+ years of experience in people management or team leadership.

  • Strong understanding of recruiting processes and the candidate lifecycle, with a track record of driving operational improvements.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting.

  • Familiarity with India employment practices, hiring compliance, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands across a team and multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with comfort working across time zones and collaborating with global teams.

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.

  • Must have English language proficiency (can interact with a degree of fluency when speaking, reading, and writing in a professional and specialized setting).
