The Role:

The Director, Total Rewards will be responsible for designing and building cutting-edge compensation and benefits programs to support the attraction and retention of our world-class team. This position reports to the Chief People Officer. It is a key role that will manage the compensation, salary planning and rewards process, benefits design and administration, supporting all areas of our business globally. The role will also be responsible for strategic compensation initiatives, as well as day to day support on compensation analysis for recruiters and managers. The ideal candidate enjoys designing Total Rewards programs and processes from the ground up and is passionate about enabling key business partners to make effective, consistent, and fair compensation decisions.

We are looking for someone who loves to work with large amounts of data, is always looking to streamline processes, and is excited by the challenges of a hyper-growth environment. In this role, you will work closely with partners in People & Culture, Recruiting, Sales Operations, Corporate Development, Finance, and other teams to develop and administer a world-class compensation program.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage CommerceIQ’s compensation programs, including base salary, bonus, and long-term incentives, to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation levels
  • Lead the annual sales compensation planning process, ensuring that sales goals and compensation align with the company's overall strategy and financial goals
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable plan administration including quota allocation, plan distribution, monthly accrual support, and payout calculations
  • Oversee all job matching and salary survey participation; manage the job structure framework and title nomenclature, and partner with internal stakeholders to align with systems and processes
  • Maintain pay structures, develop salary budgets, manage the salary increase process, and provide compensation guidance to recruiters and managers
  • Continually monitor and evaluate the company's global compensation programs to ensure programs are current with regard to local pay practices, trends, and costs
  • Evaluate the benefits programs for multiple regions including: insurance programs, retirement plans, sick leave, time off, and vacation policies
  • Play a major role in the selection, administration, and maintenance of benefit brokers, carrier and insurance relationships
  • Own and administer equity and bonus plans
  • Provide guidance on job evaluations, job leveling, and salary recommendations to ensure the integrity of both our external market competitiveness and internal pay equity
  • Develop and implement tooling and systems solutions to make processes more efficient
  • Develop enablement and communication materials to bring awareness to our compensation philosophy, ensure employees understand how compensation programs work and decisions are being made, and recognize the steps we take to make fair and equitable compensation decisions

What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of compensation experience, including at least 2 years managing global compensation programs
  • Expert knowledge of sales compensation concepts (including quota, territory, accelerators, and spiffs) plan structures, processes, planning tools and methodologies
  • Compensation experience with rapidly-scaling technology startups, pre-IPO equity, sales compensation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and executive compensation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a desire to get your hands dirty
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to explain the business reasons and program ideas to the management team
  • Laser focus on large datasets to maintain accuracy and ability to summarize data to support our decisions
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and completeness
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills
