As a key member of the IT Enterprise Services organization, the Senior ERP Administrator will provide day to day technical administration support for our Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand application, This includes providing support for the current and long-term security, stability, and availability of Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand.

In this position, you will also have the chance to contribute to various project initiatives and help meet key milestones, playing a critical role in strategic project implementations within the organization.

This role will report to the ERP Architect and may include an element of mentoring our current junior ERP Admin in his development, and job role, dependent on candidate. This role will work closely with the other ERP IT Team members, internal customers, CentralCommand Help Desk team, other IT and Data Management & Analytics (DMA) team members.

Expedition Expectations

  • Day to day technical administration of Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand
    1. Review and monitor CentralCommand Admin tickets for issues reported automatically, via user groups or escalated from CentralCommand Help Desk team – Is as needed based on availability of ERP Admin
    2. Handle administration tasks via Unit 4 Administrative console
      • Manage queues
      • Kill reports
      • Website
      • Web services
    3. Troubleshoot timed services issue i.e. TPS – transaction processing service
    4. Troubleshoot advanced login issues
    5. Troubleshoot performance issue and escalate to data or reporting teams as necessary
    6. Primary support of custom client billing process
    7. Setup\maintain flexi-fields, attributes, and relations
    8. Support IT team members and CentralCommand Help team
  • Keep on top of all Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand releases including new technical\security features
    1. Review information for released upgrades\updates and advise IT management of important changes
  • Work as a key member of upgrade\update projects for Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand
    1. Perform Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand upgrades\updates
    2. Work with data team on SQL Server upgrades for Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand database server
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand security best practices
    1. Train ERP Admin, CentCommand help and DMA team members as required
  • Handle advanced security updates, and all IT personnel related security.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand configuration best practices
    1. Train CentComm help and DMA team members as required
  • Work with Report Development team to understand report engine changes, and plan for report engine updates.
  • Work with data team members to develop automated processes for CentralCommand as required by business, as well as troubleshoot existing automated processes.
  • Work on Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand security initiatives
    1. Implement advanced custom security maintenance processes including workflow processes.
    2. Continue to formalize quarterly admin user security review process
    3. Continue to formalize biannual all user security review process
    4. Work with data and other teams to automate security change as part of onboarding and offboarding resources
  • Work with auditors as required

Passport to Success

  • Minimum 5 years of experience administrating Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand aka Unit 4 Business World aka AgressoUnit 4 ERP\CentralCommand skills
    1. Prior experience with Unit 4 Administrative Console
    2. Advanced understanding of some of the following system administration areas
      • Website
      • Web services
      • Web API
      • Business services
      • Report Engine Web Service
      • Queues
      • Time processes
      • Mail queue
    3. Advanced understanding of security administration
    4. Advanced understanding of report administration
    5. Basic functional understanding of some core modules, i.e. PCB, AR, AP, and GL.
    6. Experience leading\performing\planning Unit 4 ERP upgrades and updates
    7. Experience leading\performing\planning report engine upgrades
    8. Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Technical skills
    1. Advanced SQL query skills
    2. Basic SQL Server DBA skills including restores, and performance tuning
    3. Window server administration including security
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US\Canada and have unrestricted work authorization for US\Canada.

    1. Experience with print managers
  • Unit 4 ERP\CentralCommand skills
    1. Basic functional understanding of CentralCommand product\module
    2. Experience with CentralCommand configuration\management
    3. Experience with CentralCommand parser configuration\management
    4. Experience with CentralCommand upgrades and updates
    5. Report development via ARW, ARC, Excelerator, and XTRA
  • Technical skills
    1. Database development – stored procedure\triggers\udfs
  • Basic functional understanding finance\accounting
  • Prior experience executing the upgrade/update process steps for an on-premise Unit 4 environment.
