The Salesforce CRM Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions that align with our business goals. This role requires deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture and cloud technologies, with a focus on Salesforce CRM applications, integrations, and customizations. Direct Travel’s Salesforce Architect will lead projects, work closely with our Sr. Director of Sales Operations, offer strategic guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our CRM capabilities.

Expedition Expectations

  • Architecture Design: Develop and design scalable and secure Salesforce CRM architectures that support business processes and objectives.
  • Customization: Configure and customize Salesforce to meet business needs, including the development of custom objects, workflows, triggers, and more.
  • Integration Management: Design and manage integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (ERP, Marketing Automation, etc.).
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on Salesforce projects, guiding developers and ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and implementation.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and define technical specifications for Salesforce solutions.
  • Data Management: Work closely with our Chief Data Officer to ensure effective data management strategies within Salesforce, including data migration, data quality, and data governance.
  • Security and Compliance: Audit, design and implement enhanced security protocols to ensure that Salesforce CRM adheres to organizational security standards and compliance regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve Salesforce performance, scalability, and functionality, staying updated with Salesforce product releases and features.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of system architecture, integration points, custom code, and configurations.
  • Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Salesforce issues, ensuring minimal system downtime.

Passport to Success

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in Salesforce CRM architecture and development.
    • Expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and APIs.
    • Experience in Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
    • Experience with Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and map them to Salesforce solutions.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale Salesforce projects and work in an Agile environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on user experience and system performance.

Going the Extra Mile

  • Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent marketing products.
  • Prior experience with product catalogue and CPQ implementations.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • Experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics or other advanced reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, HRIS) and their integration with Salesforce.
