POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing an organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centers. They lead a team to ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of infrastructure systems, develop strategic plans, and manage budgets. This role plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s technological needs and objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Lead and Develop team members in a manner that reflects Creative Group’s Vision and Core Beliefs.

  • Manage and coach team members focusing on their professional development and necessary training with the goal of improving execution of the planned activities to maximize results; identifies growth and educational opportunities aligned with individual career objectives.
  • Interview, hire, engage, retain, and discipline and terminate with appropriate Senior Leadership Team approval when needed.
  • Assess and analyze overall team performance results and service levels, initiating any actions needed to close gaps or address low team performance.
  • Identify opportunities to provide feedback and demonstrate an ability to handle difficult conversations and conflict when necessary.
  • Develop and deliver timely and fair performance reviews to direct staff, ensuring employee development and goal optimization.
  • Identify and partner with respective department to implement training needs, as needed.
  • Reinforce a team mentality within and across teams.

 

Lead IT Infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency, client outcomes, business results.

  • Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make
  • Recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Evaluate vendor cost and quality of services.
  • Work with security to implement resources securely.
  • Manage infrastructure lifecycles.
  • Communicate and validate product architecture with peers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage the design and implementation of system architecture and interfaces using industry best practice.
  • Develop reporting metrics, dashboards and status reports, including performance against SLAs.
  • Ensure the needed level of infrastructure diagrams and documentation are produced and maintained.
  • Manage the development of a library of deployable and documented scripts, processes, and procedures for cloud migration and operational tasks.
  • Contribute to the design, documentation and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning as required.
  • Manage the forecast of system demands and recommend upgrades, expansions and reconfigurations. Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
  • Assist the team with project planning and other large collaboration efforts, while fostering an environment of open communication and problem solving.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or management related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with technologies including Microsoft Azure, .Net, SQL Server, Web Services, REST APIs, etc.
  • 3+ years’ experience delivering business-critical IT infrastructure that includes design, administration, implementation and management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization.
  • Formal training and/or current certifications in ITIL or ITSM.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including both verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
