We're disrupting a $60B+ operational database market, growing quickly, and looking to hire, develop and empower the best! You’ll be working with a talented team of people who have built highly successful companies and globally-distributed systems at companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Okta, Databricks, Oracle, Cloudera, MongoDB, NewRelic and Twitter.

Fauna is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Executive Assistant & Office Manager to support our CEO and growing company. The right candidate will be able to build a trusted relationship with our CEO and provide the tactical and strategic support necessary for him to maximize his impact on the business. In addition, being located in the Bay Area, you will have light office manager responsibilities and be instrumental in reinforcing our collaborative company culture by organizing fun and engaging activities throughout the year that bring employees together.

What you will do:

  • Act as a trusted partner and provide support to the CEO by effectively managing projects, meetings, calendars and travel
  • Assist with the identification and planning of all-hands meetings, internal events, off-sites, and other employee related activities
  • Manage logistics of important customer, partner and board of directors meetings
  • Assist with expense management and travel coordination for the CEO
  • Handle highly confidential and/or sensitive matters with discretion and tact
  • Proactively develop relationships with key internal/external partners, gaining recognition as a team resource and go-to person at Fauna
  • Understand and balance meeting priorities with a high degree of autonomy, and advise in advance on issues or delays
  • General daily office duties in our San Mateo, CA office

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of related experience working closely in a supporting role with senior level executives in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills - you are a team player, diplomatic, highly approachable, and able to build trusted relationships
  • A high degree of dependability, discretion, integrity, and the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Professionalism, discernment, and grace when under pressure
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude when faced with a challenge or asked for assistance
  • A high degree of comfort with flawlessly executing on administrative activities, with great attention to detail, organization, prioritization and process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be applied internally and externally
  • Familiarity with core Google and Microsoft office productivity tools
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced, energetic start-up environment

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000-$90,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or other benefits which certain roles may be eligible for.
