What You’ll Do

  • Design and build the Impart console

  • Turn dense, high-volume security data into clear, actionable interfaces: attack and request timelines, analytics dashboards, API and endpoint inventories, flow diagrams, and threat investigations.

  • Own and evolve our design system and shared component library (data tables, filters, drawers, forms, charts, empty states) so new features ship fast and look and behave consistently.

  • Design AI-native product experiences. Conversational rule generation, AI-assisted false-positive tuning, detection explanations, and suggested actions—that keep humans clearly in control of what gets enforced.

  • Craft power-user workflows for security engineers: in-browser code editors for writing detection rules, keyboard shortcuts, bulk actions, and fast search and filtering over millions of requests.

  • Make emerging product areas (LLM and MCP security, bot protection, and AI asset inventory)intuitive for teams encountering them for the first time.

  • Use AI agents (e.g., Claude Code) as integral tools to prototype, explore design variations, and ship production code

  • Playwright end-to-end and visual regression tests, unit tests, accessibility, and front-end performance.

  • Partner with customers, product, and backend engineers to run user research, validate designs, and iterate based on real usage.

  • Drive projects end-to-end: research, design, build, test, deploy, measure, and iterate.

  • Contribute to our engineering culture of curiosity, rigor, and craftsmanship.

  • In person in San Francisco preferred

What You’ll Bring

  • You have 2–6 years of experience designing and building production web applications, with a portfolio that shows both UX/visual design and front-end implementation.

  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of modern CSS, component architecture, and state and data-fetching patterns.

  • Fluency in Figma (or similar) and a track record of taking features from user research and wireframes through polished, shipped implementation.

  • Experience designing data-dense interfaces for technical users (dashboards, complex tables, charts, and graph or node-based visualizations)

  • Solid grasp of interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and visual design fundamentals.

  • Comfortable using AI and agentic tools to move fast

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable in a fast-moving, low-ego engineering culture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Claude Code.

  • Experience with Chakra UI, Vite, Recharts, Monaco Editor, or React Flow.

  • Experience designing UX for LLM-powered features: conversational interfaces, streaming responses, and human-in-the-loop approvals.

  • Background in developer tools, security, observability, or infrastructure products.

  • Familiarity with HTTP/API concepts, OpenAPI, or web application security (e.g., OWASP Top 10s).

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Shape the end-to-end experience of a runtime security platform that protects APIs, AI applications, and MCP servers.

  • Work on cutting-edge technology at the intersection of security, observability, and AI.

  • Collaborate with an experienced, thoughtful team that values deep technical understanding and craftsmanship.

  • The opportunity to define what great security UX looks like in the AI-accelerated era.
