Core Responsibilities

As the Senior Product Manager of MotherDuck’s Data Warehouse, you’ll be a key member of the MotherDuck flock, steering our product direction with innovation and a keen eye for customer needs. You’ll be quacking with customers, developers, and cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions that not only meet market needs but delight our users. Your role will be to fly high with big ideas but also dive deep into the details, ensuring every feature is top-bill. We need someone with strong product instincts and a dedication to making a splash in data analytics.

What You’ll Do

  • You deeply understand Data Warehousing customer needs, pain points, and behaviors, and bring the "voice of the customer" to define our product strategy and vision.

  • Duck-dive into market research and customer insights to identify new features and opportunities for innovation.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and sales teams to refine and launch features that put our users at the center.

  • Drive product development from concept to launch, ensuring each release has a smooth landing.

  • Communicate product vision both internally and externally, quacking about our unique value and ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Use data to track product success, make adjustments, and constantly refine based on feedback (no sitting on the nest here).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in Data Warehouse or cloud-based analytics platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • A knack for balancing big-picture vision with detail-oriented execution.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity for diving beneath the surface.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – you can quack with engineers and clients alike.

  • A data-driven mindset, with experience leveraging metrics and user feedback to improve the product.

  • High agency and ownership. Comfortable building in an environment with few guardrails and constantly shifting challenges.

  • Passion for building products that leave competitors in the dust... or in this case, the pond.
