What you will do

At MotherDuck, we’re building a delightful, cloud-native analytics platform powered by DuckDB, and we know that great products start with great people. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an experienced GTM Sourcer who can help us scale our flock by finding, engaging, and hiring exceptional talent across various MotherDuck teams.

This isn’t just about filling roles, it’s about building long-lasting relationships, designing magical candidate experiences, and helping us define what great looks like as we grow. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers, work across functions, and bring a thoughtful, empathetic approach to every search you touch.

This role is a 6 month contract with option to extend or convert. It is based in our Seattle Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture top-of-funnel pipelines for GTM roles (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships) and keep a pulse on the broader market

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand ideal candidate profiles and align sourcing strategies with team needs

  • Research markets and competitors to uncover talent pools and provide insights that shape hiring strategy

  • Create thoughtful, personalized outreach that reflects our values and sparks interest from passive candidates

  • Cultivate relationships with prospective ducks, even if the timing isn’t right today

  • Contribute to diversity sourcing strategies that expand access and strengthen representation across GTM teams

  • Track outreach, pipeline health, and conversion metrics to continuously improve sourcing efforts

  • Be an ambassador of the MotherDuck story, sharing who we are and why joining us is a unique opportunity

What you bring

  • A track record of success owning searches across multiple functions with a strong focus on GTM.

  • Experience in high-growth, early-stage environments. You understand what kind of talent thrives on the complexity, ambiguity, and opportunity that come with building from the ground up.

  • Experience owning complex, varied searches. Some high-volume, some highly specialized

  • High agency: you don’t wait to be told what to do, and you’re comfortable with a little ambiguity in your pond

  • Exceptional communication and EQ. You build trust fast and keep stakeholders looped in without being asked

  • A strong sense of craft in recruiting. You know what a great process feels like and how to deliver one

  • Community-builder energy. You’re someone who keeps good people close, even when you don’t have an open role
