We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager, Software who can lead the commercialization of our data analysis portal and corresponding instrument software. This position requires an action-oriented approach, clear communication, and the ability to steer the direction and prioritization of the Nautilus software product. In this role, you will be responsible for various product management activities including primary and secondary market research, competitive analysis, product requirement and user story development, and launch planning. This role will coordinate closely with software engineering teams, business, and scientific leadership and stakeholders across the company to ensure the right product concept and fit. This role will own the business case, financial modeling, product pricing strategy, product positioning, and product roadmap development for the Nautilus Proteome Analysis Software.
This position will report to the Head of Product Management. The position will be based in Seattle, WA, San Carlos, CA or San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute product definition for Nautilus software
  • Perform primary and secondary market research to define product and product roadmap
  • Define and prioritize software requirements and features with the software engineering teams based on market, technical, and business needs to ensure successful commercialization
  • Identify market trends in life science software, including AI
  • Evaluate new product opportunities
  • Manage financials for product, including pricing strategy and forecasting
  • Support platform launch with necessary collateral development, documentation, and training
  • Attend conferences to educate potential customers on the benefits of the Nautilus Platform

Requirements

  • BS/BA with 8+ years' relevant experience or an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) with 4+ years' relevant experience
  • 3-5+ years life-science software/SaaS product management experience, including commercial product launch experience
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms for proteomics, genomics or transcriptomics data analysis
  • Experience performing in depth market research, iteratively defining and prioritizing product requirements, and developing financial models
  • Highly organized, detailed, and action-oriented individual possessing strong interpersonal, communication, written, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, and drive organizational alignment with cross-functional and senior-level stakeholders internally and with customers
  • Ability to drive operational excellence and consistently deliver timely results independently
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing AI into commercial SaaS solutions
  • Previous successful proteomic and/or genomic data and analysis platform launch experience strongly preferred
  • Bioinformatics or computational biology experience working with proteomic and/or genomic data
  • Software engineering experience
  • Experience with and ability to work in Jira
  • Technical knowledge of proteomics
