Come join our mission as our Senior Director of Communications and play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and voice of Nautilus. Reporting to the Chief Market Officer, this strategic position focuses on the development and execution of our corporate communications and brand strategy.

In this leadership role, you will work closely with our Executive team, cross functional leaders and key stakeholders, including customers, media and investors, gaining valuable insights into our business. With your ability to align strategy with execution, you will drive consistent and impactful messaging that strengthens our corporate identity and brand.

Externally, you’ll grow awareness of Nautilus through clear and unified communications to customers, investors, and media. Internally, you’ll ensure our employees stay informed and aligned, leading internal communications and organizing meaningful all-hands meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage development of corporate communications strategy and execution ensuring consistency both internally and externally. Defines key corporate messages and tone.

  • Develop Nautilus brand strategy, activation framework and guidelines to establish and measure market positioning and awareness.

  • Manage communication, relationships and events for investors and media for key business achievements and earnings announcements.

  • Create and execute internal communications plan including all-hands meetings, messages from CEO and the Executive Team.

  • Manage the day-to-day efforts of an external PR/Communications firm.

  • Partners with product marketing and business development teams to ensure outbound marketing is linked to corporate messaging and brand.

  • Lead internal team responsible for developing and executing communications strategy.

  • Manages annual plan and budget. Own and maintains corporate website and media assets.

  • Provides support for developing presentations, content and speaking engagements for CEO Staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience managing corporate communications, media and investor relations for high-growth company introducing disruptive technologies.

  • Direct work experience in life sciences or life sciences tools industry strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business management or scientific field required.

  • Advanced degree in communications or business preferred

  • Communications and strategic brand management

  • Program execution and management

  • Demonstrated success navigating challenges of a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.

  • Web and social media platform content management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong collaborator and ability to work with a diverse audience

  • Exceptionally strong writing and communication skills
