We’re looking for someone that loves explaining highly technical products. As a Technical Writer at Observe, your role would be to work on developing documentation and short videos on conceptual areas of our product. You will join our technical writing team working closely with our engineering, customer success, and video production teams. The role will play a key part in helping scale our product.

What you have the opportunity to accomplish:

Document highly technical concepts. For example you might work on a guide to shaping and relating data, thinking about monitors, etc. See a demo here.
Develop the content for in-product videos that explain concepts, functionality, and tutorials, in collaboration with our video production team.
Collaborate with other technical writers, customers and our customer success team to manage and source a backlog of content.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and/or relevant experience.
8+ years of full-time work experience as a technical writer or equivalent role.
Familiarity with analytics, relational databases, and data visualization concepts.
Prior experience with Markdown and static site generation tools like Sphinx.
Bonus: Experience writing documentation for Software Engineers and/or Site Reliability Engineers.
