Job Description

Location: Remote, West Coast (preferably Spokane / Coeur d’Alene area)
Duration: June 17 to December 13, 2024
Hours: 40 per week
Pay: $25 per hour

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Temporary Human Resources Operations Specialist to fill in for an employee on leave.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. This position requires a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration:
    • Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks of the HR department, including but not limited to employee records management, personnel file maintenance, and data entry.
    • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a seamless integration.
    • Assist in the offboarding process for employees that are exiting, including preparing paperwork, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth exit.
    • Manage the Wellness program, including planning and executing activities.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Support benefits administration by assisting employees with inquiries, facilitating enrollment processes, and collaborating with benefit insurance providers to resolve issues.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Audit benefit invoices and ensure accuracy.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence:
    • Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by providing guidance to employees and managers, as needed.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
  • HR Systems and Reporting:
    • Maintain and update HRIS and other HR databases and systems to ensure accuracy of employee information.
    • Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in HR administration, operations, or a related role.
    • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in HRIS software, preferably UKG Pro.
    • Proficiency in Google Docs and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy.
