Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our data product management department. You will be responsible for working with the Senior Director of Product Management and the Data Delivery department to analyze large data sets to assess applicability, and design data products to address client opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis:

• Perform data cleaning, normalization and aggregation as required to enable your analyses.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for both relational (Postgres, Redshift) and NoSql (BigQuery) databases. (NoSql experience not strictly required, but a plus)
• Proficient using Excel to fine tune and/or prevent the results of your data analyses.

1. Operational:

• Build presentations and/or dashboards to be used in the sales process with potential clients.
• Proactively look for opportunities to sell or improve Ovation data assets based on your deep understanding of the available data.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders including product, marketing, engineering, and executive teams to develop collaborative relationships across the organization, and assist with their data requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Informatics, or Information Systems is preferred.
• Data analysis mastery in Excel and/or Google sheets, including pivots, charting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical skills. An ability to understand and simplify complex data and translate into easy to understand business information suitable for client presentations.
• Competent with statistics and statistical distributions
• Experience with data visualization and building client-facing documents.
• 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role. (Experience in the biological or healthcare fields is a plus.)
