About the team:
We are a highly productive international team consisting of customer advocates, Product Designers, and User Researchers. Our primary objective is to connect pet parents with pet sitters and dog walkers. Beyond that, we develop comprehensive solutions to address various challenges such as booking services, cross-platform messaging, personalized scheduling, trust and safety, security, and payments.
The Product Design team is responsible for enhancing the marketplace experience across web, iOS, and Android platforms, contributing to the overall end-to-end customer journey and experience.
Who we are looking for:
Rover is seeking a passionate Senior UX Content Designer to join our expanding design team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in human-centered functional design to lead and enhance the UX content design at Rover. This involves taking charge of content creation and journey projects, fostering cross-functional relationships, and driving organizational improvements.
As the driving force behind various cross-company initiatives aimed at improving the UX through content design and writing, you will create solutions that combine storytelling, UX research, data analysis, UX writing, content design, brand voice, and legal guidelines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute on a content strategy and user experience vision based on organizational goals, business rationale, and user needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, User Researchers, and teams from Product, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, Localization and Customer Experience to generate ideas, conduct tests, and shape the optimal user experience.
  • Continuously improve the performance of key customer journeys through content iteration based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Conduct product content audits. Create user flows, content principles and customer-facing messaging.
  • Design and produce compelling, persuasive content based experiences that balance user needs with business goals and objectives.
  • Advocate for a simplified and cohesive experience by editing content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines through the support of the UX team and office hours.
  • Establish processes, best practices, and frameworks in collaboration with internationalization partners to deliver a high-quality global content experience.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UX Content writing, design, or related fields, preferably for a global consumer-facing product.
  • Expert-level skills in short-form and micro-copy writing.
  • Experience in journey mapping and enhancing customer journeys, with a focus on content and customer education.
  • Ability to synthesize information from diverse sources into a coherent narrative.
  • Experience in leading content projects, including managing timelines, prioritization, roadmapping, and stakeholder management.
  • Empathetic storyteller driven by user and industry insights, brand values, and UX principles, with the ability to balance customer and business needs.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, with an understanding of localization best practices.
  • Working knowledge of design tools and best practices.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing the value and impact of your previous work.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, User Experience (UX), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation:

  • In the greater Seattle area the first year salary range is $140,761-179,228. Additionally Rover offers equity (RSU’s) and benefits to full-time employees.
  • The cash compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
