How you’ll make an impact

Reporting to the Head of Security, Trust & IT, this hands-on engineer will lead and develop IT services built to drive and optimize systems across established and future business processes. This role is based out of our Palo Alto office, and will support employees locally and globally.

What you’ll own

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of the Palo Alto office
    • Manage local area network and wifi
    • Manage conference rooms equipment and any special needs that may arise time to time
    • Manage on location IT assets
    • Provide in-person support as needed
  • Act as a senior IT engineer and contribute to company wide large IT projects
    • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the organization.
    • Own the management of collaboration tools used by IT and Spotnana employees.
    • Help manage the configuration of Windows and macOS devices, managing vulnerabilities via effective patch management processes
    • Help streamline procurement processes with finance and legal teams
    • Educate our employees and your peers to use company tools effectively.
    • Contribute to our IT Wiki pages.
    • Participate in security incident response activities as needed
    • Support compliance goals such as SOC2, PCI and ISO27001
  • Act as backup to L1 support staff and own L2 Support areas during your Shift
    • Resolve day to day technical challenges both applications and hardware support.
    • Resolve IAM and Endpoint management related issues
    • Help define our IT support strategy, architecture, and processes.
    • Help write SOPs to make the employee experience consistent and best in class and reduce work on L2 Support Staff

Experience to bring with you

  • 7+ years previous IT engineering experience, preferably at a startup.
  • Strong problem-solving skills - you enjoy finding the root cause of a problem, not just a break fix solution
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management, Endpoint management (MDM), and asset management.
  • Understands best practices to securely manage third party SaaS applications like Slack, Google Workspace, and Notion.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, and VoIP systems.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment, and work cross-functionality with a global team.
  • Can work collaboratively with stakeholders outside of IT and Security.
  • Time management skills with the ability to drive multiple projects forward.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Spotnana strives to offer fair, industry-competitive and equitable compensation. Our approach holistically assesses total compensation, including cash, company equity and comprehensive benefits. Our market-based compensation approach uses data from trusted third party compensation sources to set salary ranges that are thoughtful and consistent with the role, industry, company size, and internal equity of our team. Each employee is paid within the minimum and maximum of their position’s compensation range based on their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related specifications.

The annual cash compensation for this role is: $140,000-$160,000
