Elevator Pitch

We are on a mission to empower developers and organizations to safeguard their software supply chains with unparalleled security and confidence. The increasing prevalence of software supply chain attacks impose an additional burden on developers and organizations and necessitates heightened vigilance.

As a Staff Engineer you will be focused on building a platform that helps developers fortify the software supply chain by making the power of open source security technologies accessible to developers. Success in the Role: 6-12 Month Expectations

• Within the first months of employment, become competent with the project, guidelines and standard operations.
• Design and deliver priority features by working with the key stakeholders, including PMs, tech leads, other team members.
• Take a leadership role within the team, guiding and mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and providing valuable insights to improve the overall codebase.
• Take ownership of a complex subsystem, contributing to the design and architecture of new features and improvements.
• Participate in technical hiring panels and processes to support team growth
• Contribute to the design and implementation of highly scalable and reliable backend solutions that can handle increased user demand and traffic without compromising system stability.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and create a positive team environment through effective communication, active participation in meetings, and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
• Effectively manage priorities, and communicate progress and challenges with the team and stakeholders.
• Foster a team and community culture of empathy, curiosity and psychological safety.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven record of technical accomplishments that have directly contributed to measurable and impactful business outcomes.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of Go programming language and backend development principles, consistently delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable code.
• Strong proficiency in software development and experience with open-source projects.
• Experience with secure coding practices and frameworks (e.g. OWASP, SSDF)
• In-depth knowledge of software supply chain security, including understanding the risks associated with open-source components.
• Proficient with Docker, Linux, and Git
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with modern software development practices

Location:

The team is fully distributed and remote; however, we have a strong hiring preference for US-East and EMEA regions (not covering Asia-Pacific & Japan).
