Statsig is a faithful replica of the product growth infrastructure used inside Facebook that allowed it to grow quickly. Our core product is centered around feature flags, product experimentation (A/B Testing) and analytics. Basically, any necessary tools that the product teams use to ship features and measure their impact, Statsig is building them.

We consist of a strong founding team from Facebook and are continuing growing at a fast pace. Located in Bellevue, Washington, we currently have 70+ employees across various disciplines. We’re backed by Sequoia Capital as our lead investor with participation from Madrona Venture Labs for our Series B round of $43M (See Article).

Companies like Microsoft, Figma, Soundcloud, Notion, Cruise, Flipkart, Ancestry, Lime, Opensea, Headspace, Eventbrite, Rec Room and Coda all use Statsig to gate their features and run experiments in order to help them build better products while iterating on each features before launching them.

Statsig’s Product Design team consists of three members and we’re looking to add another Senior/Staff level to the team. It’s an exciting time for our company and you will play a key role in working across many different areas of the product including feature management, experimentation and analytics surfaces. You will also be responsible for mentoring other junior product designers, evolving the design system/patterns and thinking more strategically about the product moving forward.

You will report to the GB Lee who is the Head of Design while collaborating closely with other members of the team across Product Management, Engineering, Data Science and more.

🚨 *This role is an in-person at the Bellevue, Washington office (not a remote role)!

• As a Senior level member in the team, you will be not only be owning an entire product space to execute on but also, you will work across multiple projects that are broad/ambiguous in scope. Given a high-level problem, you should be able to deliver concrete end-to-end solutions that help define a product vision.
• You are expected to demonstrate solid leadership skills within the design team and across the XFNs. You should have strong partnerships with product managers and engineers, likely providing product direction and exerting significant influence in defining goals for your product area.
• Solid skill level across product thinking, interaction design, design systems, execution & craft should be a given at this level. The visual and UI design of the product is what makes Statsig different from other competitors and therefore, we are looking for someone who can continue making that difference. In the future, you should also be designing new patterns or introducing new standards in your work that later become adopted by others.
• You should be able to succinctly and effectively communicate your work and may be called upon to represent your product team to executive leadership or in XFN forums.
• You will be asked to actively mentor junior designers or interns, or participating in design-team-wide initiatives (examples include: interviewing, recruiting, mentoring, workshops, design system standards, improving design tools, etc.) Also, you will play an influential in strengthening culture and identifying areas for development within the team.

• Collaboration-first: Your role will require you to work collaboratively across different teams, juggling between multiple tasks at once with different timelines and stakeholders
• Clear visual communication: You need to effectively translate content and messaging into compelling design outcome
• Autonomy: You take initiatives and end with high quality work by collaborating with other team members and owning the process. You are also expected to work independently and actively identify gaps between the processes and suggest new ways of working
• Feedback as a gift: You should be comfortable at receiving, giving, and acting on feedback to your XFNs as well as the rest of the design team
• Attention to detail: Your role expects you to be a master at making design work consistent, pixel-perfect and utilizing the design system at scale. Craft is very important for Statsig

• Experience working within a tech startup and/or small, early stage design team
• Experience working on B2B SaaS, Analytics and/or Dashboard tools
• Have worked at places where you were actively a part of the feature launch and experimentation process as a designer
• Passionate about evolving design systems, prototyping, tools and contributing to startup culture
