With a durable execution platform trusted by leading teams at Datadog, Snap, Stripe, Netflix, HashiCorp, and many more. We’re building a foundational technology for modern applications and enabling developers to move faster with greater confidence.
You’ll be joining a high-performing and values-driven recruiting team that’s passionate about quality, candidate experience, and partnering with hiring managers in deeply strategic ways. We move fast, support each other, and never lose sight of what makes hiring meaningful: the people.
We are looking for a collaborative and motivated Recruiter to join Temporal on a 6 month contract. You’ll be stepping into a high-impact position during a pivotal stage of our growth, with direct visibility across executive leadership, hiring managers, and key business initiatives. In this role, you will play a key role in identifying and attracting exceptional talent across engineering, go-to-market, and general operations functions. Working closely with hiring managers, People Operations, and leadership, you’ll develop and execute recruiting strategies that uphold our commitment to hiring with intentionality and excellence.
Your efforts will have a direct impact on Temporal’s scaling trajectory, ensuring we bring in people who share our mission and values and contribute to our culture of excellence and belonging.
What You’ll Do
- Support hiring across a wide variety of functions, including engineering, sales, customer success, marketing, operations, and product, adjusting your approach to meet different team dynamics.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and teams to understand hiring needs and priorities across departments.
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, from sourcing through offer negotiation and closing.
- Source high-quality, diverse talent through creative outreach, networking, and tools like LinkedIn, Gem, and open-source communities.
- Manage and optimize recruiting workflows using our ATS (Greenhouse) to ensure a smooth, data-informed hiring process.
- Provide a world-class candidate experience that reflects Temporal’s values.
- Proactively identify and remove process bottlenecks, ensuring velocity without compromising quality.
- Support onboarding transitions in collaboration with People Operations.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to both technical and GTM hiring.
- Proven success in a fast-paced environment such as a growth-stage startup or top-tier tech company.
- Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates and engage technical talent communities.
- Strong working knowledge of ATS tools (Greenhouse strongly preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and CRM platforms (e.g., HireEZ, Gem, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior leadership.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple searches without dropping the ball.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for building diverse, values-aligned teams.
- A strong sense of urgency balanced with thoughtfulness and care in decision-making.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with open-source communities or experience supporting developer-centric products, but curiosity and willingness to learn go a long way
