Events & Field Marketing Manager – EMEA

We are seeking an experienced Events & Field Marketing Manager to design, execute, and maximize the impact of Temporal’s presence across the EMEA region. In this highly cross-functional role, you will be responsible for driving integrated regional marketing programs that build awareness, generate pipeline, and strengthen community engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Solutions Architecture, Developer Advocacy, and Global Marketing teams to ensure every initiative delivers measurable business value.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that rewards initiative, creativity, and strategic thinking. You should be comfortable operating independently with minimal supervision, while also excelling in collaborative, cross-functional settings.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Regional Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the annual and quarterly events calendar and budget for the EMEA region, aligning with global priorities and local market needs.
  • Execute Regional Campaigns: Design and deliver integrated marketing programs tailored to regional goals, including account-based marketing, digital campaigns, workshops, meetups, and partner activations.
  • Lead Event Execution: Manage end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, developer summits, and sponsorships—including logistics, vendor management, equipment, catering, travel, collateral, and swag.
  • Drive Community Engagement: Partner with Developer Relations to support grassroots programs, meetups, and champion networks that foster adoption and strengthen Temporal’s developer community.
  • Adapt Global Programs Locally: Localize global marketing initiatives to ensure cultural, language, and compliance alignment within the EMEA region.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Sales to drive pipeline creation and acceleration, and with Marketing teams to plan pre-, during-, and post-event engagement programs.
Measure & Optimize: Track performance, budgets, and ROI of all regional programs, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support Flagship Events: Contribute to Temporal’s global initiatives, including bi-annual internal company-wide events and the annual developer conference, Replay, occasionally traveling to the United States.
  • Travel: Expect up to 50% travel during peak conference season (average 25–30% annually), primarily across EMEA.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of field marketing or demand generation experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or cloud industries.
  • Proven success executing regional marketing programs that drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline growth.
Strong experience managing events of all sizes—from grassroots meetups to large-scale conferences.
  • Hands-on expertise with event sponsorships, including contract negotiation, vendor management, and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with EMEA market dynamics, cultural nuances, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Developer Relations teams.
  • Experience using marketing technologies such as Salesforce and Marketo (preferred, not required)
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Passion for open source, developer communities, and distributed systems.
  • Reside within the United Kingdom with a strong preference for London.
