About your role

As a Customer Success Engineer, you will engage with customers and prospects early in their adoption cycle to educate and train them on new technology. You will introduce prospects to our solution through technical presentations, demos and PoCs. You will consult with customers on the design and rollout of their Cloud-native platform. You will provide thought leadership and guide customers and partners towards implementation of best practices and provide technical assistance during steady state operations. You will provide technical training to our users while also performing account management functions such as managing customer information, building relationships, understanding business requirements and advocating for our solution.

This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver.

Salary Range: CAD $115,000 to CAD $130,000

You Will:

  • Ensure successful engagement with prospects that will progress them to the buying stage
  • Ensure success of your assigned customers' deployments
  • Deliver technical training on Networking, Security and Observability
  • Lead solution design workshops for developing Networking & Security solutions
  • Help customers resolve technical issues while meeting key support SLAs
  • Build a multi-media repository of technical content for our customers to help accelerate learning and self-enablement
  • Influence the direction of our product by working closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to incorporate the needs of our customers into the product roadmap
  • Become a trusted technical resource and advocate for your customers
  • Share learnings and insights from our customers to help shape our marketing programs and product roadmap

You Have:

  • 4-5 years experience in a customer-facing technical role at a security software company
  • Solid hands-on technical skills & knowledge - you will be able to check off most (if not all) the following:
    • Linux fundamentals and system administration
    • IP networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing)
    • Private and public VM cloud
    • Network and systems security / SecOps
    • and Service Mesh experience (preferred)
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in an early-stage startup environment is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or related
