Yoodli is a private, personalized and AI powered speech coach. Our dream is to help people around the world improve their communication skills without feeling judged. We’ve raised $7M+ in seed funding from leading investors such as Madrona, AI2, Cercano and other industry experts. Our work has been featured in outlets including WSJ, Inc., and Geekwire. We recently announced a partnership with Toastmasters International to bring AI powered speech coaching to 300k+ members globally. We’re a mission focused and fast growing startup based out of the Allen AI Institute in Seattle. The team includes alumni from GoogleX, Apple, Intuit among others. What we’re hoping you bring:
You are a well-rounded designer with exceptional problem-solving skills, clear communication, good design instincts, and the ability to translate business needs into impactful solutions. You’re responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in an open and collaborative peer environment. You take ownership of your projects and work through ambiguity to deliver high quality results.
As a Contract UX/UI Designer, you’ll work closely with the Head of Product and Lead Designer to execute net-new designs and improve existing user flows. Some core responsibilities include:
Design screens that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions. Designs should be responsive (mobile/tablet/desktop) and delivered in Figma. Light prototyping to demonstrate interactions only when necessary
Layouts should utilize existing components and styles as much as possible and be cohesive with the main site in function and form
Take creative liberty where appropriate to make the designs really sing
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in designing web and mobile experiences for a startup or small to mid-sized company
Clear communication skills and ability to work well with non-designers
Can work within existing UI designs and design systems and iterate quickly
Have a portfolio of work that demonstrates excellent design skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in UX design
Proficient and organized in Figma
Nice to have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, related field of study, or relative experience
Knowledge of Adobe Suite
Design experience with platforms that have audio/video or data-oriented aspects
