The Role

As Yoodli's Accounting Manager, you will be the in-house accounting leader, reporting directly to the CFO. You will own the integrity of the company's financial records and manage and mentor the Staff Accountant. This is a strategic and hands-on role — you'll both set the direction for scalable accounting infrastructure and ensure flawless execution across revenue recognition, close processes, and financial controls. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who thrives in high-growth startup environments and is energized by building and leading.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership and Accounting Operations

• Directly manage and mentor the Staff Accountant, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination
• Support revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606 (SaaS subscription revenue experience preferred)
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
• Own and lead the monthly budget vs. actual analysis
• Support rolling forecasts and annual budgeting processes in partnership with the CFO
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve financial visibility

Revenue, Billing & Deal Desk

• Oversee revenue recognition, contract review, and billing accuracy.
• Review sales orders and contract terms for financial accuracy and compliance.
• Support pricing/discount approvals within established guidelines.
• Help to ensure deals are structured to align with revenue recognition policies.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure clean revenue processes.

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Identify and implement process improvements and lead accounting system evaluations as the company scales.
• Act as a trusted financial partner to R&D, GTM, and Leadership teams, supporting the CFO with ad hoc analysis and special projects.

You Might Be a Fit If You...

• Have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Have 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Have experience in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
• Possess strong command of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Are proficient with QuickBooks and comfortable evaluating or implementing accounting systems.
• Are a clear communicator, highly organized, and energized by building scalable processes.
