Role Overview
The Technical Recruiter will own end-to-end hiring for cloud, platform, and engineering roles, playing a critical role in building MontyCloud’s technical teams during this next phase of growth. This role is responsible for translating business and engineering needs into high-quality hires, driving proactive sourcing, and delivering a structured, high-bar candidate experience. The Technical Recruiter will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Leadership to enable fast, high-quality hiring at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Hiring Ownership:
• Own the full recruitment lifecycle from intake to offer closure for technical roles
• Hire across cloud, platform, backend, DevOps, and niche engineering positions
• Drive hiring plans aligned to business priorities, timelines, and quality benchmarks
• Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
Sourcing Strategy & Talent Mapping:
• Build proactive pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, and targeted outreach
• Conduct market mapping for niche and senior cloud and engineering talent
• Develop sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles in AWS, Azure, CloudOps, and FinOps
• Continuously improve source-to-hire efficiency and conversion ratios
Technical Screening & Candidate Evaluation:
• Conduct structured screening calls to assess technical depth and problem-solving ability
• Evaluate hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and SaaS platforms
• Assess candidate fit for ownership, ambiguity, and startup execution
• Ensure consistent evaluation standards across interview panels
Stakeholder Partnership & Hiring Excellence:
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Leadership on role scoping and priorities
• Run effective intake discussions to clarify must-haves, trade-offs, and expectations
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, and timelines
• Maintain strong hiring manager confidence through clear communication and delivery
Process, Metrics & Candidate Experience:
• Maintain accurate hiring data, pipelines, and reporting
• Track and optimize key recruiting metrics including time-to-hire and offer-to-join ratio
• Deliver a high-quality, transparent candidate experience from first touch to onboarding
• Continuously improve recruiting processes as the company scales
Qualifications
Required
• 4–7 years of technical recruiting experience in SaaS or product organizations
• Experience hiring cloud, platform, or engineering roles at scale
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and engineering ecosystems
• Proven ability to proactively source and close niche technical talent
• Experience working closely with senior engineering and product stakeholders
Preferred
• Experience recruiting in Series A / Series B startup environments
• Exposure to global or distributed hiring models
• Experience recruiting for CloudOps, FinOps, or automation platforms
• Metrics-driven approach to recruiting operations
