The Role
The People Operations Manager will provide essential operational and tactical support for the US team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will execute the people operations roadmap and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all US HR functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, high-energy operator who enjoys building processes and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Execute the recruiting plan to meet hiring targets
- Oversee and coordinate with contract recruiters to manage candidate pipelines, schedule interviews, and facilitate the closing process
- Maintain recruiting metrics including time-to-hire and offer acceptance rates
- Support hiring managers in applying BRIDGE values to the interview process
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Design and administer a structured 30-day onboarding program to ensure new hires are productive and culturally integrated
- Oversee the Recruiting Coordinator to manage all onboarding logistics, including equipment coordination and system access
- Maintain manager playbooks and 30-60-90 day frameworks
Total Rewards Administration
- Process payroll and benefits enrollments in coordination with PEO and Finance
- Support the CFO in auditing current employee value proposition, compensation philosophy and frameworks to ensure consistency
- Design and oversee the annual compensation planning process including link to performance management
- Assist in tracking equity grant schedules and vesting documentation
- Handle routine inquiries regarding benefits, PTO, and company policies
Performance Management & Culture
- Design the performance management philosophy and annual process including link to total rewards
- Coordinate the logistics for performance review cycles and feedback sessions
- Coordinate local team-building rituals and pulse surveys to monitor cultural health and BRIDGE value alignment across the distributed US team.
- Track policies and practices around remote and hybrid work and impact on productivity, engagement and culture.
Employee Relations & Performance Coaching
- Conflict Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for US employees on workplace issues, providing fair and consistent guidance in alignment with BRIDGE values.
- Performance Support: Assist managers in drafting and delivering performance improvement plans (PIPs) and disciplinary documentation, ensuring all actions are securely documented within the TriNet/Keka systems.
- Manager Guidance: Provide tactical coaching to first-line managers on conducting effective 1:1s, delivering difficult feedback, and managing team dynamics.
- Grievance Management: Administer the formal grievance mechanism, ensuring all reported concerns (e.g., managerial behavior or role clarity) are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Policy Interpretation: Act as the primary subject matter expert for the North America Employee Handbook, answering routine questions on leave protocols, code of conduct, and workplace safety.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain all US personnel files and employment documentation in compliance with federal and state laws
- Update and distribute the employee handbook and other internal policy documents
- Manage basic HR compliance reporting and risk mitigation tasks
In addition, the People Operations Manager and their team will be expected to liaise regularly with the MontyCloud India HR team to share best practices and ensure global values alignment.
Who You Are
- Experience: 5-7+ years in HR, with experience in a startup or growth-stage environment; desirable to have experience across multiple functional areas including leave administration, payroll, employee relations, and performance management
- Tactical Expertise: Hands-on experience with recruiting coordination and HR administration
- Systems Fluent: Comfortable using HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, ADP, or BambooHR) and ATS tools (e.g., Ashby or Greenhouse)
- Execution Focus: An "operator mentality"—you enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get things done and are comfortable with iterative processes
- Communication: Able to explain HR policies clearly to employees and managers
